Isola Es Plamador

A small paradise between sky and sea, the island of Espalmador is a pristine natural gem located just north of Formentera, separated by a narrow stretch of crystal-clear water known as Es Pas. With its white sand beaches tinged with pink, turquoise waters, and untouched wild landscape, it’s a dream destination for those seeking peace, raw beauty, and breathtaking views. Espalmador can be reached on foot from Illetes Beach only during low tide, by carefully crossing the sandbar that connects the two islands (about 200 meters), where water may still reach waist level. Alternatively, visitors can reach the island by private boat or by one of the many excursion boats that depart regularly from La Savina port. The island is also known for its natural mud flats once prized for their purifying properties (now closed to the public for environmental protection) and for its fine sand with soft pink hues, making it one of the most unique and striking beaches in the Balearic Islands.
